Golden Retrievers were named after their ability to retrieve some game undamaged.

They are medium sized breed dog. Based on the history they were developed as gun dogs to retrieve shots waterfowls such as ducks and upland game bird during games and shooting parties. They have instinctive love of water. Golden Retriever's intelligence make them fitted to be as a guide dog to the blind , hearing dog for the deaf, hunting dog, illegal drug detector and search and rescue participant.
